The Delta Phi chapter at Clemson was started in November 1972 with a group of 25 undergraduates and four alumnae, according to the sorority's website. Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women's fraternal organization in the world with over 360,000 initiates, 181 collegiate chapters, and over 240 alumnae chapters. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as the 2020 Panhellenic president. there are like 24 fraternities on campus although probably about half are going through varying stages of probation/being kicked off because they were idiots. Fraternity and sorority activities at Clemson University were suspended in September 2014, after the death of Tucker Hipps, a 19-year-old Sigma Phi Epsilon pledge. It consists of the College Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Only a sorority alumna, or a collegiate member of a chapter (depending on the sorority), can write a recommendation to her sorority. Thank you, Clemson University, for making us family, but thank you Panhellenic for making us sisters. Clemson Panhellenic does not have access to any sorority’s recommendations.
